Taj Mahal Arlington reviews
Greatness in the Wrong Place
I adore Taj Mahal, a long-time favorite of mine. Since their agreement to re-unite, I have been overjoyed. Driving 3-1/2 hours to witness their performance at the Mohegan Sun last year, I was impressed, despite the fact that they only played their classics.
I eagerly purchased tickets for the PNC Arts Center. Unfortunately, the concert left me feeling extremely let down.
Taj Mahal delivered a fantastic performance! However, the music was the focal point and the sound system was incredibly poor. Despite having Fan Club tickets in 104 (front left), providing me with decent viewing, I struggled to comprehend Scott's words between songs. The only way I could follow along was because I already knew the songs. The sound quality was distorted throughout. Venturing to the back center, there was only a marginal improvement. I left feeling very disappointed. A talented band with subpar sound. I have attended numerous concerts at the Arts Center, and this was by far the worst experience.
